Saturday Winter Morning in the City
21.12..09:30 - 12:00
With the aim of encouraging tourist visits during the winter months, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board traditionally organizes the “Saturday Winter Morning in the City,” starting on November 9 and running until March 29, 2025, featuring a folklore performance in front of the Church of St. Blaise.
Thematic city tours will begin on November 9 and will take place every Saturday, starting at 9:30 AM in English and at 12:30 PM in Croatian, meeting at the TIC Pile.
In November, the theme of the city tour will be Cosmopolitan Dubrovnik. Once a Roman Catholic city where only Catholics could reside, with Jewish residents permitted under special allowances, Dubrovnik grew into a true cosmopolitan center. In the historic core of the city, you’ll find Catholic churches, an Orthodox church, a mosque, and one of the oldest active synagogues in Europe. Different religions – Catholics, Orthodox Christians, Muslims, and Jews – have all left their mark on Dubrovnik’s history, with the city’s historic center bearing witness to centuries of coexistence and tolerance.
Following the thematic city tour with an expert guide, at 11:30 AM in front of the Church of St. Blaise, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board will treat all visitors to a folklore performance, which will not be held in case of inclement weather.
You can follow updates on each thematic city tour on the social media channels of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board.
Due to the limited number of participants, registration for these thematic city tours is required via email at tic.pile@tzdubrovnik.hr or by phone at +38520312011, no later than Friday by 5 PM.
