Exactly 80 years ago this year, from a speaker high on the statue of Orlando in the Sponza palace, the then-State Radio Dubrovnik started broadcasting. After Radio Zagreb, that was the second ever radio station in Croatia. In its eight decades, Radio Dubrovnik has lived on continuously alongside its listeners; as a witness to all the changes happening in the region. The deep and profound mark Radio Dubrovnik left on Dubrovnik and its people are explored in the Vedran Benić documentary 80 years of Radio Dubrovnik.
